Minaurum is a Mexico focused explorer, concentrated on three key regions and managed by one of the strongest technical and finance teams in Mexico. Minaurum’s goal is to continue its founders legacy of creating shareholder value by finding new district-scale mineral discoveries and executing accretive mining transactions. Minaurum evaluates its properties by a process of drill-target identification, geochemical, geophysical surveys, and geologic mapping.
The three regions are the Southern Sonora State, Oaxaca-Chiapas Region and Guerrero Gold Belt.
Alamos Silver project is a wide, high-grade epithermal vein system with significant historical production, hosting excellent infrastructure and fully permitted from exploration through to production. The project is part of the historic Alamos Mining District which produced over 200 Moz Ag, a majority of which came from Alamos Silver Project's Promontorio, La Quintera, La Aduana, and Minas Nuevas mines. Vein widths average 4m but locally range up to 20m. Sampling to date has successfuly ranged from 300 g/t Ag to 3,120 g/t Ag, and led to the discovery of 6 new target vein systems.
Adelita project lies 8 km east of Pan American Silver's Alamo Dorado mine on the southern tip of Sonora state. The project contains two principal prospect zones: the Cerro Grande gold-copper skarn and the large untested Mezquital porphyry copper system. Drill highlights from the Cerro Grande skarn zone include 105.2 meters of 1.03% Copper and 201.4 metres of 0.52% Copper.
Santa Marta is located in the southeastern part of Oaxaca State, approximately two hours from the major port of Salina Cruz. A small open pit on the property active during the late 1960s produced an estimated 50,000-70,000 tonnes grading several percent copper and up to a gram of gold per tonne. Recent sampling returned mineralization averaging 1.1% copper in oxidized rock over 25 metres. Notable VMS expert, Dr. Jim Franklin observes "Santa Marta appears to have all of the classic features of highly productive VMS systems, such as the semi-continuous deposit set at Flin Flon comprised of the Main Mine, Calinan and Triple 7..."
Aurena is also located in the southern part of Oaxaca state. This gold skarn prospect is exposed along a 4 km by 1 km trend exhibiting a strongly mineralized gold system. Drilling highlights include 29.05 m of 1.99 g/t gold and 43.50m of 1.01 g/t gold. Two mineralized zones were identified and are open at depth and along strike. One zone measures 1.8km in length and the second zone consists of high grade mineralization outcropping on surface. Aurena displays alteration and mineralization styles characteristic of prograde gold-skarn deposits, such as Fortitude, Nevada (>10 Moz Au); Hedley, B.C. (~2.5 Moz Au); and Buckhorn Mountain, Washington (~2 Moz Au).
Vuelcos del Destino is the largest untested gold skarn target on the prolific 80km Guerrero Gold Belt (GGB) trend, just north of Acapulco city. In the early 1990's, approximately 250,000 ounces of gold were discovered which has now significantly increased to over 31 million ounces of gold in just over two decades, in large part to David Jones' exploration model. Major mines and nearby advanced projects include Leagold Mining's 16.27 million-ounce gold deposit, Torex Gold's 11.2 million-ounce gold eq. Los Guajes/Media Luna/El Limon deposit, Alamo Gold's 1.6 million-ounce gold Cerro Jumil deposit, and Timmins Gold's 2.2 million-ounce gold Ana Paula project.
